2021 Hair Trends

Our salons have been open for over a month now and most of you will have come in for your post lockdown transformation. For those of you yet to choose what you are having, fear not, we are here with the top hair trends for this year. From mullets to money-pieces, there is something for everyone.
Let's kick it off with the modern 70's shag.
The 70's shag has officially made a comeback for 2021 and we couldn't be happier! This look suits almost every hair type and length. It's no wonder the trend has made a come back - people are tired of their lockdown locks and are looking for an easy way to go all out and transform their look in an edgy way. Mullets
The throwback trends don't stop at the shaggy cut, the 90's mullet has also made a huge comeback for 2021. The trend picked up at the end of 2020 and it's only getting bigger for 2021 with various celebrities rocking the look such as Miley Cyrus, Cara Delevingne and Rihanna.

Blunt Bob
The blunt bob has been a trend for years and there are no signs of the trend dying down just yet. For 2021, this trend has come from people growing tired of their unkept tresses during lockdown and braving the chop to transform their locks into a healthy, thick and shiny state. The blunt bob transformation is the epitome of "new hair, new me" and we are just (if not more) as obsessed with this trend as we were when it first came about. Check out this example by Adele.

Money Piece
A fairly new trend is the 'Money Piece'. The money piece is a take on the 90's trend where we would add a streak of bold colour to our hair. Beyonce, Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid are just a few celebrities embracing the trend. You can adapt your money piece to be as bold or as subtle as you like - using a paneling technique to create bold, old school stripes or some face framing highlights for a more subtle look.
