John Paul

Salon Director (owner)

An RRI living legend, John Paul has been with the company since qualifying as a stylist. What drove him back then still drives him now – ensuring his clients leave the salon looking and feeling amazing. John Paul is a master of all hairdressing techniques, and his broad-ranging clientele reflects that. For him, hairdressing is about being both imaginative and expressive, always with an eye on the latest trends. It’s this experience and commitment that have taken John Paul backstage to style the Scottish BAFTA’s, and runs the backstage salon at Scotland’s premier music festival TITP, where he’s styled a massive list of celebrities including Imagine Dragons, Stereophonics  and the mighty James Brown.

Salon Director

Jo originally trained and worked in London, but we’re very pleased to say she came back and has been with RRI since 1989. During her career with us, she’s been a key member of the RRI Artistic Team, and jointly headed-up our backstage team at T in the Park. Working in the salon is still her passion though, and she loves making clients look and feel great about themselves. With Jo, you’ll get honest recommendations and truly great advice. Her ‘one-to-one experience approach’ means she’s able to build a rapport with clients and achieve a more creative result. In Jo’s own words “gaining my clients’ trust makes me a better stylist”. She also loves working with colour and has her Schwarzkopf Master Colourist Degree. Her two daughters are her biggest fans, and they’re more than happy to be her models for new styles and techniques (lucky them, we say!).

Sarah Jane

Salon Director

Salon Director, Salon Manager, Academy Assessor – Sarah Jane’s list of talents goes on and on. She’s worked her way up throughout her 20-year career with RRI, and loves passing on her knowledge to the next generation. As a member of our Artistic Team, Sarah Jane has represented the company at photoshoots, hair shows and seminars all over the world. She has a Schwarzkopf Master Colourist Degree, and is qualified in Great Lengths extensions and Keratin Smoothing treatments. Although she’s the first to say all of her clients are Very Important People, Sarah Jane has also styled many famous celebrities backstage at T in the Park. In Sarah Jane’s capable hands, you can expect brilliant guidance and inspiration every time. She’s always switched on about the latest techniques and style predictions, so you can be sure of an up-to-date style that also suits your personality and lifestyle.

Master Hair Designer

Kylie is a hugely creative stylist with her own signature style. She loves working with clients who give her a challenge, be it a full colour transformation or a classic, precision cut with a contemporary twist. Since joining us in 2008, Kylie has not only developed her technical skills, she’s also completed her Schwarzkopf Master Colourist Degree, making her one of RRI’s colour experts. As a member of our Artistic Team, Kylie has styled her fair share of celebrities, including Professor Green and Mumford & Sons.

Art Director

Summer joined our intensive training programme in 2009, and has blossomed into a confident, versatile stylist. She loves working with long, luscious hair, yet is equally inspired by creating bold shapes with short hair too. Her mantra is ‘No Limits’, which she proves in everything she does - be it learning new techniques, experimenting with style and colour, or delivering extra-special customer care. A degree-qualified Schwarzkopf Master Colourist, Summer has also worked with musicians from Imagine Dragons and Twin Atlantic.

Art Director

Before he joined the RRI Academy in 2011, Kenny was training to become a mechanic. much happier working with scissors than a spanner! We’re glad he made the career change, because he’s become a skilled stylist with a real understanding of the science and craft of hairdressing. Kenny loves designing bespoke looks for clients. Not only does it add a personal touch; it means no two haircuts are ever the same. He loves styling long hair into glamourous blow-dried creations, yet for short and funky haircuts with a quirky edge, he says “you can’t beat a bit of men’s barbering”.

Since joining the team as an assistant in 2017 Roxy has been involved in many different aspects of the industry, Including our annual RRI assistant show @SWG3, qualified in her SVQ level 2 & 3 and also represented the company in a student exchange programme in Sweden.

Roxy qualified as a stylist in January 2020 and has been working hard to build her clientele. She is confident in all aspects of hairdressing but and notes that she particularly enjoys creative colouring, developing bespoke looks for her clientele, and the glamour of party hair and styling.

Front of House Manager

Lynsey actually started out her career as a hairdresser, but developing an allergy to hair colour meant she had to change her role. Not wanting to leave the industry she loves, Lynsey decided to go down the Front of House route, and joined RRI in 2013. Her brilliantly friendly and professional style quickly earned Lynsey promotions through the ranks to Front of House Manager and also to Salon Manager while Sarah-Jane is on maternity leave, she’s a favourite with clients and colleagues alike.

Let's get social

Details, details...

If you really can't make your appointment please try to give us at least 24 hours notice.

We understand that finding the right stylist is a very personal choice. As a team we embrace and encourage clients who are just looking for a change to try a different stylist.

As a little added bonus, if you book your next appointment online we’ll take £4.50 off the cost of your treatment! Unfortunately this doesn't apply to our Beauty Salon or Howard Street Training Academy.

If you’re thinking of going for a new style or colour, feel free to bring photos or references with you. And if you have a preferred stylist and time slot, it’s also a good idea to book your next appointment before you leave the salon.

Skin Test

Being colour experts, we never (ever) colour hair without a skin test at least 48 hours in advance. You’ll need to pop in, but it only takes 2 minutes. We really can’t put colour on your hair without it. If you're not sure if you've had one before, check with your RRI salon.

At every appointment, you can expect an in-depth consultation - to ensure your stylist fully understands the look you want, and how to work with your type of hair. From there, you can relax in safe hands – from a heavenly shiatsu massage to perfectly-applied finishing touches.

Don't Miss Out!
